The concept of Telemedicine Consultations breaks down barriers imposed by physical distance, ensuring that everyone, regardless of their location, can access the expertise of healthcare professionals. This initiative aligns with the vision of His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Edo State, Mr Godwin Obaseki whose resolve to strengthen primary healthcare services across Edo State. This he has done by leveraging technology to make Edo health care system more responsive and accessible to the needs of the people.

However, the plan does not end there, as part of the State Government’s ambitious plans, the rollout of the pilot phase of Telemedicine Consultations in 10 Government Clinics is just the beginning. It is important to note that by the end of August, the goal is to have at least, fifty clinics equipped and ready to provide Telemedicine services to residents across Edo State.

A 2-Day training was organized for Health Workers at John Odigie Oyegun Public Service Academy (JOOPSA). The training spanned from 26th April to 27th April, 2024 to ensure proficient delivery of health services through Telemedicine Consultations.
